Default Summer temps in Waynesville ?

I'm curious as to the summer highs in the Waynesville area. The temps seemed to be several degrees cooler in Waynesville than Asheville through the winter- according to the weather channel.
So am I safe to assume the summers are a little cooler as well? I've heard the temps are usually cooler in the mountain regions than the rest of the state.

I think you'll find your difference in urban sprawl , anywhere where there is an abundance of asphalt and overflow traffic you'll find hotter temps

I only see a 1.1 degree difference for the average daily high in July over an extended period of time.
